SilkRoadSupply fees, shipping & QC, explained plainly
What a SilkRoadSupply order actually costs — item price, domestic leg, international freight, service fee and customs — plus what QC photos can and cannot show, and how to estimate your total before you commit.
← Back to overviewThe short version
Your total is essentially item cost + international shipping + any service fee and customs. We don't print exact prices — they depend on your item, weight, route and country, so get live numbers from SilkRoadSupply's own estimator.
- Item cost = product price plus domestic shipping to the China warehouse.
- International shipping is driven by weight and volume; consolidate buys into one box to save.
- Customs is a small declaration charge — generally around RMB 10 per parcel, method-dependent.
- QC photos catch colour, defects, tags and stitching — not smell, feel or durability; ask for more angles before you approve.
- Policies for refunds, returns, prohibited items and storage are published — read them before ordering.
Fees and policies can change, so treat the platform's own pages as the source of truth.
What QC photos show — and what they can't
QC (quality check) photos are pictures taken of your item in the warehouse before it ships. Use them to check colour, obvious defects, size tags, stitching and whether the item matches your order notes.
- · Colour & obvious defects
- · Size tag & labels
- · Stitching & print
- · Whether it matches your notes
- · Smell or fabric feel
- · Tiny internal flaws
- · Long-term durability
- · Exact shade in person
QC photos answer the left column with confidence; the right column is what you still can't judge from a picture.
- Extra QC: if a detail matters, ask whether more photos or angles are available.
- Approve deliberately: only move to shipping once the photos answer your questions.
How shipping works
After QC, you choose a shipping route. Routes differ in price, speed and which items they accept. Cost is driven mainly by weight and volume, so a light, well-packed parcel is cheaper than a bulky one.

What makes up your total
Your total is only a handful of parts (plus anything optional you add):
- 1
Item cost — the product price plus domestic shipping from the seller to the China warehouse.
- 2
International shipping — calculated by weight, shipping method and destination.
- 3
Service fee — the buying agent's own charge, if any — confirm the current rate on SilkRoadSupply's fee page.
- 4
Customs & optional extras — customs declaration, plus add-ons like extra packing or a rehearsal preview if you choose them.
Exact figures still depend on your item, route and destination, so we don't print prices here — get live numbers from the official freight estimator. Fees and policies can change, so treat the platform's own pages as the source of truth.
Fees, line by line
Landed-cost calculator
Put your own numbers in — item price, domestic leg, parcel weight, international rate, service fee and FX. Every line on the right updates live, with nothing hidden or quietly stacked on top.
This is an estimate, not a quote. Real international shipping varies with the carrier, volumetric versus actual weight, your destination and customs — and the platform's own tools may return a different figure. Check every line at checkout before you pay.
Refunds, returns and prohibited items
The platform publishes its after-sales rules. Read the relevant policy before you order, especially for items that might be restricted.
